The hard-wearing quality of the leather normally used in the production of shoe soles or industrial machinery makes it an ideal floor- or wall-covering material which has the warm, sensuous qualities of a natural material.
Leather has inherent insulating properties, providing significant noise reduction, and increased heat insulation. It is also a low-maintenance surface, making it ideal for bedrooms, studies, and living areas.
Harcourt uses specially selected hides with pronounced linear grain; when trimmed to tiles, these provide a luxurious look and feel. We manufacture each floor in our own workshops, and install it to your specific requirements. Once laid, we treat the floor with natural beeswax to develop its deep lustre, extend its longevity, and maintain surface qualities.
Our tile sizes can be suited to your specific room; our maximum tile size is usually 800mm x 900mm. Many colours and surface textures are available; samples can be viewed by prospective clients.
